Homie has discovered that there is a "new" version of the Mafate that addressed this problem, so I am not sure if my Hoka's are pre or post "collar problem" or if I am just not affected by it for whatever reason. I suspect that my shoes are the earlier version. Allison was bothered by the stiff tongue (OK, I am setting myself up here...) of the Mafate at first, as it rubbed the top of her foot funny on one side, though the (minor) issue has gone away with a bit of wear. She too loves the shoes and how they protect her feet and joints (so much so, she even wants to run the Bolder Boulder).Jeff Vallierehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08106877622296558733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834572771955617940.post-43537967924604307002011-05-11T05:19:08.577-06:002011-05-11T05:19:08.577-06:00The turn over will come with a few sessions. I have heard some say it rides high.GZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12623054918799881730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834572771955617940.post-3393961945183310862011-05-09T20:57:13.608-06:002011-05-09T20:57:13.608-06:00>Do they run in the family?

Been in that situation too many times. The good news...it happened on a great trail and not on pavement somewhere in the 'burbs!Jim P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06566980370651311505noreply@blogger.com
