May have been able to wear a 11 but with the downhills etc the 11.5 is a better fit. Love the upper hold the foot well. You are right about the insoles they are junk replaced them with my foot balance insoles. Running them felt great light fast everything one could want plus the nice cushioning which is great. I think I may have found my dream shoe. The only thing that concerns me is how durable will they be (300 miles 400 miles ???). Don't know but loving it now.harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12744366490754491869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834572771955617940.post-75532253498530876992014-06-18T22:17:31.808-06:002014-06-18T22:17:31.808-06:00Pete Larson Runblogger in his preview stated The B...Pete Larson Runblogger in his preview stated The Balanced Athlete in Renton Washington had them. I see that Boulder Running Company is due to have them on July 1st, so not too far away.

As far as sizing goes, 10 fits me perfect in the Rapa Nui, Conquest, Bondi, Stinson and the Mafate, but my test Huakas are a size 9 and fit quite well for local mountain runs. Given a choice though, I would probably get a 9.5, just to have that little bit of extra room due to foot swell and the 13 mile descent of the Pikes Peak Marathon, but I still think the 9 will be OK. I have also heard the same sizing observations from the 2 other testers who are in the Huaka. Let me know how it goes and how you like themJeff Vallierehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08106877622296558733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834572771955617940.post-59364699356649714572014-06-17T22:20:04.577-06:002014-06-17T22:20:04.577-06:00Thanks I get mine tomorrow so we shall see. I heard they run true to size as I take a 11.5 in every other HOKA I have and was told they are equal to the Rapa Nui and Conquest I have.harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12744366490754491869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834572771955617940.post-49092281769689860032014-06-16T06:42:26.210-06:002014-06-16T06:42:26.210-06:00Harris, I would not say more cushion than the Rapa...Harris, I would not say more cushion than the Rapa Nui, but certainly comparable and they feel a bit more pillowy (different type of cushion I guess). If they could only put a Rapa Nui outsole with a Huaka midsole/upper, we might have the perfect shoe.Jeff Vallierehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08106877622296558733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834572771955617940.post-69190659731459151802014-06-11T22:18:43.381-06:002014-06-11T22:18:43.381-06:00Can't wait to get mine I have them on preorder...Can't wait to get mine I have them on preorder.
