Brandon met me at work for a casual mid day run. Headed out on the LoBo trail through Niwot and back at a conversational pace and was good to catch up, made the miles pass by quickly. Was even better to snap up a $20 bill on the ground along the way.
OK!
ReplyDeleteHe totally did a 180 after this bridge underpass quietly while I motored up the hill wondering what he was up to. Like he had some 6th sense about it. Then he tells me about it miles later in order to avoid any claim I might have to it.
Watch your stuff around this guy. Totally expecting him to find my stashed car keys and claim ownership of my truck next time.
Ha. It was buried under dirt and tumbleweeds, so I knew it was not yours. Nothing stands out to me like money on the ground, I do have a 6th sense for it... Will make up for the Smartwool beanie I recently lost.
ReplyDeleteI picked up a $70 haul a few months back running the roads. Three 20s and a 10 neatly folded up waiting for me. There are some benefits to running the flat, more populated stuff, but not many.
ReplyDeleteYou guys got nothing on this guy (http://brookswilliams.blogspot.com/2012/01/treasures-me-matey.html) for finding stuff on the trail!
ReplyDeleteNick, nice find. Yeah, definitely a nice perk for having to run the flat urban shit. I find money regularly, more than I can remember, but many $20s, $10s and $5s. Even found $80 once while walking the dog, then countless cool things on the bike, nice sunglasses, tools etc....
ReplyDeleteJim, thanks for the link, that IS quite the find.
Brandon, I thought about giving you that $20 for a wipe after you shat in the ditch.
