Up/Down Back

Pretty easy run up and down. Walked the snow/ice section from below the last switchback to the 4-way (and gingerly tip toed it on the down), otherwise the entire trail is mostly dry. Got spoiled by the warm weather last week and it felt awkward wearing pants and long sleeve shirt again.
Which route is this with the dry trails? Ranger?
ReplyDeleteYep Gregory/Ranger, pretty much all dry or avoidable snow/ice, until just below the final switchback before the 4-way.
ReplyDeleteI was considering heading up tonight, but not alone after I saw the pix that Homie shared of the carcass down by the Gregory lot.
ReplyDeleteKendrick is usually game for a night run and is good company.
ReplyDeleteKendrick has seen more mountain lions being here six months than I have seen being here a decade and a half. Dude should be named the mountain lion magnet.
ReplyDeleteI would gladly let someone else start having my mountain lion sighting "luck." I'm much more happy when I see a group of deer out on the trails since I'm assuming they wouldn't be there with a large cat nearby.
ReplyDeleteSo you see deer too? Yeah, that is the start of the buffet line for the big cats.
ReplyDeleteAny idea of the conditions on Amphi/Greenman? May hike with some non-locals later this week. Trying to decide where.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the cat sightings are related to the parent with two young last year that some guy saw as I was about to run over near Shadow (I ran elsewhere that day). As in: the kids have grown up and stuck around, and they are comfortable near people :\
